ACW

The ACW filter is equipped with wedge wire filtering elements, utilizing traditional and reliable technology. These elements offer filtration degrees ranging from 20 to 150 µm, with a backwash set point between 1.0 and 1.5 bar.

The filter’s control system can either be integrated into the Refinery DCS or operate with a dedicated PLC. The solenoid valves on pneumatic actuated automatic valves are connected to junction boxes at the skid’s edge. The control system functions according to the logic diagrams and system description provided by Filtrex.

The ACW filter operates with multiple filter banks in parallel, where each bank processes a portion of the total flow. While one bank is undergoing backwash, the others continue to filter fluid, ensuring no downtime in the filtration process.

The filter housings are cleaned one by one, and the banks are cleaned in sequence. This ensures a systematic and efficient cleaning process without interrupting overall filtration.

The filter housings can be installed vertically or horizontally, depending on the available space. This design flexibility allows for better adaptability to site requirements and improved access for maintenance.

The ACW filter is designed for continuous operation, ensuring that while one bank undergoes backwashing, the other banks continue to filter the fluid, thus maintaining uninterrupted service.
